Sky News: 'New Computer helps cooks'

ZOMG! Has anyone else seen this? I just saw the report on the TV channel!
Basically, its a DS with a cartridge that holds loads of recipies (like Cooking Mama, but not a game I guess)
They quote stuff like "a normal cookbook costs 20 quid, but this hand held computer designed for cooking costs 120 quid! "
Holy bloody hell, I have no clue why, but that REALLY pissed me off! how dumb can they be!?

WHY are all news channels SO DAMNED STUPID!? I mean look at what Fox News did with Mass Effect, and GTA IV!

    [/rant]

EDIT: And now I've checked out the WEBSITE and they have it right there... Just the masses who watch TV instead of reading the news on the 'net will be taught this stupidity!

I really dont see what so bad about it? Seems like quite a good plan if you ask me, gets more people involved in the device and if you have one already then its a really nice searchable recipe book. Ok the internet can do it for free normally, but this is easy, very customisable and you dont need to print out recipes...

Thats not what pissed me off. It was just the way they talked about it. I mean, 'a handheld computer used to help cooks'. ITS A BLOODY DS WITH A NEW GAME CARTRIGE IN IT!

I quite like the idea of that 'game', methinks I'll get it for my mum as a joke/present.

Gadzooks! What is this trickery? It's... a BOOK? With two pieces of glowing paper with moving pictures and words... It magically changes when you stroke it with a new type of blunt inkless quill!

I have to be honest that the sight of my 28 year old friend sitting in a crowded train and talking loudly into her DS whilst trying to bond with a virtual dog put me off them somewhat. Thankfully, I had a Sharpe (Bernard Cornwell) novel to keep my mind off things.
