Re: Welsh Channel 4.
Was that intended to be a joke? Because seriously.... this thread is wierd..
I mean.. Welsh? it's poetic. Let's all go learn it so we can turn this well-to-do english speaking board into one that a mere 750,000 people will understand. Sounds sensible. Not that I'm having a go at anyone or anything, but Welsh is like Latin. Worth learning partly for historical values. Otherwise totally useless. And is that ACTUALLY a serious topic? I took it as a jokey one o.O

No matter how long you stare at a word, you can't work out how its pronounced. Tywydd - Twith! Of course. I won't bother asking how dd ends up being pronounced ith. |

Re: Welsh Channel 4.
Welsh poets are amazing... And Welsh songs likewise.
The fact that no one sings them properly, or understands them, is besides the point.

Re: Welsh Channel 4.
Well, what I can't understand is why anybody would object to the language of one of the indigenous peoples of these fair islands, preferring a form of German instead. Have you no patriotism
?
