What can you carry on Eurostar? (liquids etc)

    Hey guys,

I'm going to be travelling on Eurostar soon, so I've looked up the baggage information and it seems that there isn't anything regarding what you can carry in terms of liquids/deodorants etc like there is with airlines. Am I perfectly sane to assume that I don't have to worry about the volume of each item I have (shower gel etc)?

    Thanks

    No restrictions like when flying.

Makes train travel far more appealing

Are you just going under the tunnel with a car or going from somewhere like London as a foot passenger?

For cars, there's very little you can't take. In fact there really isn't much security at all. I was quite surprised.

That's a good point. In fact, who would want to fly planes into a couple of sky-scrapers?

The only regulation is that you must carry back at least 20 litres of liquid, usually water based with 10-15% ethanol proportion.

    This is very true

    exactly!

its happened sooo often on our or frances soil.

seriously thou, killing everyone in a train, is actually quite hard.

Gas? (Ricin?) disperses too fast, due to fast moving trains.

Bombs? Hard to cause a tunnel cave in. Look at the total from the july the 7th, not really a great score when you think about it. Lone gun men have killed more. If you go for the claymore type detonation, on a packed train, what happens? Your lucky to kill the first 2 people hit by each projectile. So oxygen burning bombs is probably the best bet, two of them, one at the front, one at the back.

Honestly, this is what annoys me about airport security, i've spent about 9 hours in it in the last 2 years. I wounder how many "peoples life in hours" have been squandered on it.

Or your right, we could all live in our bunkers never venturing outside, rather than getting on with our lifes because we're about 100,000 times more likely to be killed crossing the road.
