Mobile phone scam alert
Ok, I don't know how genuine this is, but my service admin here at woek hs circulated this email around, shocking if true.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear all, We have been made aware of the following mobile phone scam: A missed call will show on your mobile phone. The number is 0709 020 3840. The last four numbers may vary, but the first four numbers remain the same. If you call this number back, you will be charged £50.00 per minute. People have complained about their phone bills once they have realised the cost of the call, however this is completely legal. Please beware, do not call back numbers beginning with 0709. We have been advised by Vodafone Business Solutions & Orange Business Systems that this scam is true. Please do not return any missed calls beginning with an 0709 prefix as you will be liable for the cost of the call. Should you have any queries or concerns it may be advisable to contact your service provider. --------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah, some dick head was e-mailing that around at my work too - I was tempted to reply to everybody saying "ignore the spoon who sent this."
Sorry, fakes annoy me more than real scams. |

ROFLMAO! Needed that, thanks Agent.
![]() What about the lady who drove around and asked to use people's phones to call a recovery car and called her own £50/min number or w/e... Made a couple of grand a night. Lovely.
If cars had followed the same developmental path as computers, a Rolls Royce would cost £60, get a million miles per gallon and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.
