    Films....

Okay... Going to see a film.
I was told, quite firmly, that I WAS going to see a film, whether or not I like it, and whether or not I'm already occupied.

However, I have hit a slight problem. I was only told that I was going to see a film. The choice of film was left up to me. So, me being me, I brought up the handy local cinema website that tells me what's going to be on.

    I have a choice of....

    WALL-E (children's matinee...)
    or
The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emporer (rest of week)

So which one is better... reviews are glowing for WALL-E, not so good for The Mummy, but reviews are reviews and I'd quite like the opinion of HEXUSers... Which - of course - is far more relevant than the opinion of the reviewers

    Help me out?

EDIT: for the cost of a bus fare/train fare I've got a few more choices..

including: Kung Fu Panda, Hellboy II, Star Wars: The Clone Wars and possibly a few others. I'll add them on as I find them.

Is that particulary good then? If I go REALLY out of my way I can probably find one... remembering that there's about 50 cinemas within 20 miles of where I live *rollseyes*

Wall-E is good, but I'd go for the Mummy - because I like the previous ones, and I've seen Wall-E already!

But yeah, Wall-E - it's pretty good, but it actually goes downhill when the humans appear in it, I'd still recommend it to you though.

meh.. sent the e-mail off to the girlfriend now... She can choose (as she forces me to go cinema instead of staying at home and completing DMC4...)

Thanks for all the opinions... I'm sure that some of them were useful. Maybe.

If you still have a say, Wall-E for sure - I seen it twice at the cinemas, I'd put it over Kung Fu Panda only because it's not just another animal-made-to-be-fun-CGI movie, it's in its own class.

Or Hellboy II, that looks entertaining enough.

Hellboy seems interesting, what about dark knight?

    Wall-E, Dark Knight.

I'm going to see Hellboy 2 on Monday, which looks very good. Same director as Pan's Labyrinth I believe.

Apparently Clone Wars is pretty crappy.

She's already seen Dark Knight.. unforntunately for me who would have quite liked to go and see it...

Probably WALL-E now, but who knows... she gets back today or tommorrow and we're going cinema sometime next week.
Lesson learnt - be prepared to spend a few hours finding out exactly what to do when the girlfriend says that you are going to do something...

Don’t let her boss you about! Be a man and watch what YOU want to watch. You have to impose you alpha male authority now, otherwise in the future she will own you.* Trust me I have experience

I assert my authority in other ways than forcing her to go to films which she doesn't like. I value my life far too much to disagree over small things like that.
