It was actually La Perla (and Aqua Suit and mens Grigio Perla) that my parents worked for so the top end stuff.

As to 34AA...the issue is that the band (bit that goers round the chest) are never long enough... they tend to make 32AA which is wholly unfair...and many women who THINK they're 34 AA are actually 36AA and simply cant find bras to fit...so they suffer with uber tight bands, and they suffer the "gape" that I mentioned earlier. This doesn't help the ladies belief on herself. Thats bad. So look for shoulder staps that come down not at the edge of the cup, but a fair way toward the centre.

The secret is also BRA STRAP EXTENDERS, which were NOT invented for women who suddenly got fat and couldn't afford new bras, but were for this very job. You can buy a 34AA and then make it a 36AA.

Google them.... they come in 1, 2 and 3 clasp versions, and in many colours.

I took a friend of mine to get 'fitted' for underwear about 2 years ago, upshot was she was wearing wrong cup, and wrong size, 34C to 32B, the difference for her was the point on the cup where the straps anchor.

Its funny becuase my dad spent hours making sure i was properly fitted with a gum shield, after the first one didn't mold to my shape properly, the closest thing in my childhood to buying bras, yet mums don't seam to properly take the time.

Plenty of places in Knightsbrigde will do a personal shopping service, where they really make sure the size they think they are, is the perfect size. Plus its not remotely boring

We hit M&S to get measured. The inch tape in my tool box just wasn't designed for such jobs. Well worth the trip, and I got to browse the TVs whilst she was busy.

I am kind of torn on these. Yes they do the job of 'enhancing' but does everyone have to want larger breasts? I guess it's the ladies decision at the end of the day - but I wouldn't pressure her either way.

A Babydoll is a nightie, a Basques is a region of Spain, a Bodies is what the nightie goes on, Camisoles are shoes for camels, and a Chemises is where you buy the condoms for the sexy night with your girl in the babydoll!

I mean seriously, WTF? Fortunately I found a beautiful set that DID fit, but why OFFER a service you don't do properly????

Oh and you'll be a different size for every shop you go in, cos the sizes and designs aren't uniform.

well style/shape/cut does effect the measurements of clothing
women's clothing has always been very bad for this as they're based on rough and sometimes seeming random "sizes"
underware "should" be better as it's based on actual measurements (although cup is based on "size" and can still vary)

That said I've seen a worrying trend in men's clothing, we get the short "square" end of the stick when it comes to shape/cut on clothing but we had the advantage of actual measurements and not arbartery "sizes".
However size's are creeping in now and even worse is getting cloths that are not the same measurements as the ones listed.

Sorry to wander off on a tangent here, but I must say what seemed to start as a excuse for smut thread has become very interesting and informative.

Well, Lingerie has to be styled and it's bloody hard work (no pun intended)

The sheer difficulty of making a tiny piece of fabric LOOK NICE/SEXY/ATTRACTIVE, and to make a femine form look appelaing and desirable is a masterpiece of effect or disaster.

And yes, I spent a lot of my child hood surrounded by models in lingerie. When quite young, both of my parents worked for a very expensive Italian Lingerie importer and I have seen more naked models, and more discarded knickers than I care to recall, and I've snuck secret samples into famous London Dept Stores to the lingerie counter.

I put an order in for £60 with La Senza, got 4 items, which is reasonable. Shipped but without the main item... Not a problem, as the item I ordered is now in the 40% off stuff, so reordered it with a £15 saving. But got suckered into getting the order up to £35 for free del.

So spent £63.88 over two orders and got a lot more for my money
