    Advertising leaflets inside magazines

Does anyone ever actually look at these, or just drop them straight in the bin?

Personally whenever I buy magazines I actually take them out and leave them on the shelf before I take it away

I just noticed it's a kneejerk reaction now with these free IT mags I get at work - first thing I do is unwrap them, flick through for the leaflets and drop them in the bin, then start to read

I once openned a copy of PC Shopper and became trapped under a pile of leaflets in the hall. I was there for four days and had to be dug out by firemen. I survived by eating those free shampoo and cereal bar samples you get.

Step 1: hold magazine on each edge of the back
Step 2: Tilt magazine so the outer edge is facing towards the floor
Step 3: Shake repeatedly so leaflets fall out (preferably over a bin or a shredding machine)
Step 4: Repeat step 3 until satisfaction is met
Step 5: Open magazine and begin reading being wary of any leaflets cleverly glued into the inner pages

At least you get some CD coasters glued to the pages sometimes.

yup, thats my preferred method....pick it up by the top left corner, quick flick of the wrist as it comes out of the rack & 99% of leaflets are left behind - sorted!

its not like most mags don't contain enough ads already

if it ain't broke...fix it till it is

rofl, i can just imagine that. Sit in the shop shaking the hell out of the mag and everyone turning round and looking at you as you casually walk up to the counter looking satisfied knowing there's no advertisements in your magazine that you're about to purchase

Should set up little recycling centres for them. Or better still, save a few tree's & leave them out.

Haven't seen a bin in Tescos ... Neat idea though, because so many just pick up, and shake. I don't read them. Just bin them, if they aren't in the magazine I want to look at then it can't be any good!
