    Songs that touch you ?

Ever had a song that really touched you ? I heard this song on TV and it floored me when i listened to ti properly! Does anyone else have a song like that ?

    Artist: Hoobastank
    Song: The Reason

    Lyrics:

    I'm not a perfect person
As many things I wish I didn't do
    But I continue learning
I never meant to do those things to you
And so I have to say before I go
That I just want you to know

I've found a reason for me
To change who I used to be
A reason to start over new
    and the reason is you

I'm sorry that I hurt you
It's something I must live with everyday
And all the pain I put you through
I wish that I could take it all away
And be the one who catches all your tears
Thats why i need you to hear

I've found a resaon for me
To change who I used to be
A reason to start over new
and the reason is You [x4]

    I'm not a perfect person
I never meant to do those things to you
And so I have to say before I go
That I just want you to know

I've found a reason for me
To change who I used to be
A reason to start over new
    and the reason is you

I've found a reason to show
A side of me you didn't know
A reason for all that I do
    And the reason is you

Nearly every song on the Romeo and Juliet soundtrack... they remind me of my first girlfriend...

If cars had followed the same developmental path as computers, a Rolls Royce would cost £60, get a million miles per gallon and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.

Big Black - "Rip" (not R.I.P - rip, as in tear ). I cried when I first heard this song, not only because the lyrics are damn deep, but because the song, like most other Big Black songs, is so intense. Steve Albini = Geniussssssssssssss.

That man's shirt is worth more than your life
And I'd rather kill him than insult you
He hasn't the sense to know we're fighting
He hasn't the fear to run
We have to rip this up
    It doesn't look quite right
People like that, too dirty to save
    Better watch out, friend
    He's gonna get torn
When I poke my fingers in it
    I tear him apart
    Cover your ears
They make a lot of noise
We have to rip this up
    It doesn't look quite right

Stereophonics - Nothing Precious At All, just for the memories I associate with the last verse:

Is she a loner or a mother's girl
    That's up to you
She got fine lines round her tired eyes
    And they're painted blue
She could sleep around with anyone
    If she wanted to
Gotta go my time is up right now
    Got stuff to do

    Metallica - One

    I cant remember anything
cant tell if this is true or dream
deep down inside I feel to scream
    this terrible silence stops me

now that the war is through with me
I'm waking up, I cannot see
that there's not much left of me
nothing is real but pain now

hold my breath as I wish for death
    oh please God, wake me

back in the womb it's much too real
in pumps life that i must feel
but can't look forward to reveal
look to the time when I'll live

fed through the tube that sticks in me
    just like a wartime novelty
tied to machines that make me be
cut this life off from me

hold my breath as I wish for death
    oh please God, wake me

now the world is gone I'm just one
oh God, help me hold my breath as I wish for death

    darkness imprisoning me
    all that I see
    absolute horror
    I cannot live
    I cannot die
    trapped in myself
    body my holding cell

    landmine has taken my sight
    taken my speech
    taken my hearing
    taken my arms
    taken my legs
    taken my soul
left me with life in hell.

    the video is good too.

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here. and Soundgarden - Black Hole Sun. Pink Floyd cos of when my dad died in 1996 ( listened to a lot of Floyd back then, smoked probably too much weed also, oh and drank myself into a stupor on regular occasions.) Oh and Live Forever by Oasis, It was played at my 17 year old cousins funeral ( she died in a car accident ) still brings a tear to my eye every time I hear it

I associate albums as well as songs with times in my life cause usually when I buy one I listen to it silly for a while and if something happens during that time, I'll remember the occasion.

Metallica - Nothing, One, Fuel, Bellz
Mostly from the concert last year. Man that was insane! Listening to live versions just sends me right back and I how I was loving every second of it!

    Daft Punk - Aerodynamic
History trip to belgium/france. Mate had the album with him and I basically just listened to that song on repeat. In a kinda weird way it reminds me of all the graves and memorials I saw, if you ever get a chance to see any of them go - breathtaking and moving.

    Lost Prophets - Last Summer
Off their new album. Says it all, just reminds of cool evenings you spend with all your best friends on a summers night. Some of the best times you can have.
