    Big Purchase in 2010

So have you any big purchases planned? In terms of electronics, gadgets or computing that is. My phone upgrade is due in March, so kinda thinking Nexus One or N900 ... Haven't decided yet. Might get an amp and speakers as well depends on cash flow.

3D TV's anyone thinking of? Its never taken off and I doubt it will again tbh ... Those OLED screens at CES look lush. Might have to splash out for the bedroom!

    Re: Big Purchase in 2010

Far too many big purchases last year - as such I think I'll cut down the extraneous expenditure this year.

However, I'm sure something will tempt me

    Re: Big Purchase in 2010

I'm going to dabble with watercooling in February (I've got a thead in Hexus.hardware if you want a read) which is going to cost a bit. Other than that, I intend to learnt to drive in the summer so that's a few hundred more there. Not a chance in hell I can even begin to afford a car + insurance, though!

Oh, and (hopefully) starting a five (possibly 6) year medical course at uni. Looking forward to the debt at the end of that

    Re: Big Purchase in 2010

Not really one big purchase, but ideally I'm looking to get some Snowboarding gear in the 2nd half of the year (although, I should really do it now...but I've nae money!) - that'll cost a fair chunk I expect, but I've been meaning to do it for years, hopefully I'll get a job after Graduation and that'll pay for it!

Plus I'll no doubt buy at least one more guitar, I haven't bought one since February '09!

    Re: Big Purchase in 2010

I would quite like to upgrade my rig. i was planning on an i7 but i probably wont bother now i will just get a new GPU and case.

Im going to italy with work for a few months later this year and i get the feeling the laptop they give me will be aweful and definately wont be able to play games so i would quite like somethin akin to the new Alienware laptop to keep me busy on the evenings while im there (and not spending my expenses on beer) so i might have to save up for that.

A new phone is another thing which i would quite like and a snapdragon android is my focus!

Lot of expenses there and i know i cant afford it all so im gunna have to choose some priorities!

Looking at a couple of trips to Stockholm since I've recently been talking a very nice lady from there.

Divorce hopefully will cost me next to nothing as I've given up on fighting for any marital assests.

    Re: Big Purchase in 2010

Just got my new HTC HD2 in December...

But I've got all the parts from my new build now, so in 2010. Only around £600 though.
Maybe buying a cheap car at the end of the year, hopefully.
