Chuck Norris could do it...
I defy gravity each time I get out of bed![]()
LOL
Unless your arms are bent at a 90 degree angle, and you have super strong forarms, tricpes, abs and lower back muscles, I'd say it's possible that way.
Yeah, I knew my analogy wasn't quite right, but it was late and I'd had a couple of big glasses of good red wine![]()
The maths was good though, I would've thought it'd be the other way round
Unless you're one of those people who says "Grief, I was so drunk last night, that I started solving simultaneous equations..."

lol, not quite. My maths (at least, my applied maths / physics) is usually pretty good regardless of alcohol consumption. Kind of makes me wish I'd done Maths at A-Level, really...
This guy can do it, its at the end of the video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vs4M0DIgrIA
However...he has a leg deficiency making it possible.
apparantly not...this is it, i need solid proof because untill i get it they wont belive me! ive given the math proof but that was not good enough (there abit dumb when it comes to it so didnt understand i guess) i wonder if i send it into myth busters if they will try it??
I cannot understand how somebody could even think that's possible.
Why don't you mention see-saws? I mean, everybody knows that if you get a small person on the very end, and a big person near the middle, it will be balanced. Now imagine a strangely sized see-saw. One side is 1.2m long - to represent the guy's body. The other side is about 2 inches long, to represent his hands. Now imagine that an average bloke sits at the end of the 1.2m bit.
How heavy do they think the weight would have to be to make the see-saw balance? Or in this case, how strongly would you have to hold on to stop it from flying up in the air?

Can't be Jesus, there are no nails visible.......oh wait, silly me, he must be using "No Nails" to hold himself up......ah, if only they could rewrite the bible now...... no nails, wine kits, Cryogenics, Dolly the Sheep and McDonalds.......such is the stuff of Religion!!![]()
How about if he weighed the same as a duck?
Then http://xkcd.com/16
p.s. should say I'm a huge Monty Python fan and quote it every bit as much as the next geek., but I think Mr Munroe makes a very good point in that particular strip...
I've been thinking about this from a strength point of view.
I reckon it could possibly be done, maybe for a second or so, and depending on what they are holding on to, I don't think it's remotely "impossible".
You'd need to have the perfect muscle vs bodyfat percentage though, and an stupidly strong lowerback and abs - this is something not possible without steroids.
