not allowed....one or the other...stop teasing

I for example dont mind being called Zak at all...to me Knox will ALWAYS be Knox.....as will Dakky....in fact....Dakky IS DAKKY to his family I understand.

XTR is a pain in the arse and therefore I must use his real name....but TiG and Moby and Tumble all suit them a treat...

and I shall be using them (as I already do)

    Why not?

    They're just nicknames after all.

My screen name is Angus - because that's what everybody calls me anyway (my first name is actually James). I can't see why it shouldn't be the other way.

Life is a game of chess.
    I'm crap at chess.
    Sometimes though, I get lucky.

I use forum names... too dumb to remember real names....

Though Mrs. Dak, if I ever met her, would be a bit of a mouthful...

hang on... I didn't mean it to sound like that .....

Hehe, never met people IRL from forums, but I have from an MMORPG I played years ago - Ultima Online.

You can't help but feel a little silly calling each other by your game-names, but you are just so used to it when you've been communicating through that method for over a year LOL

"Rygil - meet Zathras, Amber - this is Nightblade and Spriggan..."

You tend to talk quietly in the pub too, or people give you really strange looks when you talk about killing other people, casting magic spells and looting monsters

There is no IRL... only AFK

We've had lots and lots of meets on Tangent21, and eventually as you get to know each other you call each other by your real names (but mine is pretty much my real name anyway lol).

I'd hope that people would use my forum name.. my real name is unspeakable by the human tongue.

Don't think learning my name is much of a problem First name is the only way to communicate with ppl as far as i'm concerned. Either that or there 'well' known nickname, e.g to my mates i am just 'Wilko' and it sounds weird to get called anything different by some of them.

I am the same Tom, I have been called Fox since the age of 5 (my surname) I am so used to it that when people use my first name I tend to forget its my name and it seems as if I am ignoring them

Yeah i should imagine forum names at first followed by real names if you got to know them better in real life. Most peoples' online names are nicely pronouncable as for those that are not, I never want to meet them .
