It didn't fall off, it merely became insufficient at it's purpose and got a bit droopy...

Most lanners have pretty good personal hygeine at the lan.... there are also showers etc on site and with such low numbers it's pretty usable if you want

I'm suppose to be spending the day with the police helicopter on the Saturday, so I'll see if I can get that swapped with someone from work. Otherwise, I should be OK to go.

The Chilton Air Support Unit is based at RAF Benson, so it's just a case of popping over and asking if we can spend a day with them. They usually get called out at least once a day. However, they prioritise anyone in the police who wants the experience to become the observer, so we can get bumped off last minute.
Went for a fly in a Tutor last week (again, we've got an air experience unit here). Since I had done a bit of gliding, we went in to level turns, steep turns and then finished off with a couple of loops. Felt a little bit rough at the end, but that may have been dehydration (bubble canopy in the summer). Still, at least I didn't puke six times like one of my Cpls!
