Why are Sundays DIY days ?

bah I hate doing DIY but it always seems to be done on a blooming sunday.

This morning for instance, I've had to replaster the roof in the understairs cupboard/PC room where my PC was until the bathroom had a leak and soaked my PC and caused the roof to slightly cave in.

Now....its afternoon and whats Lee upto ? having a beer.... wrong.... I'm actally sanding all the dark wooded furniture thats in the front room to match the whiteish wooded colour of the new settee we got from ikea a few weeks ago.

So now, I've got a slightly numb arm from using a power sander, covered in bloody dust and the jobs only half finished.... bah I give up - its too warm and sunny to be doing any of this rubbish on a weekend so I might just pop to the pub

Funnily enough I dragged other half to B&Q today £82 later we've got the paint/paper/shelves and some accessories to decorate the living room, but that's going to be done over the week as we've packed the kids off to his mum's for the week

One look at the TV schedule for Sundays should explain the exodus to DIY or any other shops.

I was thinking more along the lines of Sunday Grandstand with the Exclusive Pan-European Bog Snorkling championships from sunny Inverness
