    Question Puzzle - which door?

This is a reworking of a very well known puzzle, if you know it please don't give it away.

There are 3 doors in front of you, behind 1 door is a top of the range PC and 52" 3ms TFT monitor, and behind the other 2 are paper bags with rotten tomatoes in.
You are given the option to choose a door, and get to keep whatever is behind it.

After making your selection, one of the other doors is opened which has a bag of tomatoes behind it, and you are given the choice:
    - stick with your original door
    - switch to the other remaining door

    What do you do?

    I know, I know, I know!

I didn't believe it until I did the maths 3 different ways to prove it to myself!

    But......I won't tell!

I'd say switch, even if it does mean agreeing with Saracen.

Go with your gut instinct, and what you think works logically.
Pretend it's a game show or something

I'll let it run a bit before posting what should be your answer.
And I'll make it white text so you have to want to see the answer, so as not to spoil it for those that read it late and want to take part.

I looked it up on the Internet after being told this in the pub the other night

    Edit:
OMG! The server time is correct at last?

mmm there are three doors, assuming you have a 1 in 3 chance of winning to begin with, assuming that you didnt choose the door which was opened you then have a 1 in 2 chance of winning therefore i dont understand why you would change...

..except that if the one you had chosen had rotten stuff in it, the one that wasnt opened would be the prize... so yeh change else they would've told you that you had won straight away

Thought about it for ages, and couldn't come up with any reason why the odds aren't 50/50 once the first door has been opened<shrugs>

Have to say it makes no difference, sticking with the door you original choose would give u a 50/50 and so would switching.

That would appear to be logical Captain, but I bet some scientist has proven otherwise, using rayguns and lazers and test tubes, and all that stuff.

I say once you know that one door has toms behind it, you have a 50% chance of getting the PC stuff, if you stick or switch.

    Prove me wrong Spock.
