You say you like things, the social network tells everyone in the world you like it. That's kind of the point - some people seem to be missing the "social" and "network" aspects hereedit: just to clarify, I mean the people on the linked story, not any hexites!
If an organisation you "like" starts posting things you don't agree with, then you should probably think about unliking that organisation. It only takes a few seconds. Even post on their wall to tell them you're unliking them, and why. But don't get all uppity when an organisation you've publically declared appreciation for says something you don't like and your friends find out about it. Serves you right for being careless with your online persona/identity. I have no sympathy...
Never had anything like that happen in my profile.
just as worse is twitter, why do people tweet their in the toilet taking a dump for e.g or making a cup of Tea ??? what do I care?

I don't think that's the issue here, more that they've changed their policy without warning anybody and that it's not necessarily something you like - it's something that Facebook is assuming you like.
Liking has always put a message on your feed, which is frustrating but something I'm familiar with... picking up random stories several months down the line is a very different prospect.

AFAICT it's telling your friends that you've liked a page, and illustrating that with a post from the page you've liked. No, you may not have liked that particular post, but if a page you've liked is regularly posting things you don't agree with or would be embarrassed to be associated with, then I'd question the extent to which you actually "like" that page.
People are far too "like" happy on facebook, IMNSHO, and if this gets people to consider their "liking" more carefully, I'm all for it...
