    Beard? Beard.

I am the proud owner of a well groomed, Brian Blessedesque (it's a word) chin coiff, and i wouldn't dream of cutting it off. Some love it and others are apparently threatened by it, but it is a point of pride in any and every case.

How are the Hexus brotherhood in terms of facial cultivation?
Ladies, what are your opinions on the fluff and stubble?

Mine liked it, but it's the keeping it in trim. At some point unless you maintain it well the whiskers curl onto your lip for itch-tastic annoyance (and beer-foam moustache embarassment). And that's after having got through the itch barrier to grow it in the first place. Only do it if you're getting some beard trimmers to keep it in trim. Every time my wife suggests I grow one I suggest she buys me the trimmers. No parcel arrives, ergo the fuzz gets removed. Doesn't look too bad for that week or so inbetween though.

    Re: Beard? Beard.

My wife gets upset when I shave (or am forced to shave because of work).

I never let it get very long, it gets itchy, usually just go over it with a umber 2 razor every couple of weeks, hardly a lot of effort. If it was up to my wife I probably wouldn't do it as often as that!

I change my facial topery all the time.

Right now I am rocking a CM Punk esq goatee and sideburns.

Every few weeks it changes. never ever am I clean shaven.

My wife like it however it need to be trimmed and kept tidy. If its too long or rough for her, she let's me know.

    Real men have facial hair.

I have a beard, I tend to keep it quite short and shape it to have quite sharp lines but I don't trim nearly as much as I could so it gets quite messy before the trimmer is taken out again. Usually I end up waiting till my wife reminds me that I need to stand closer to the trimmer for the blades to work.

    Re: Beard? Beard.

    goatee here

I suppose Adam Sandlers would be closest to what mine looks like.

It's actually very recent before that I would just let my full beard grow until my wife bugged me enough to shave it off.

One day I shaved it into a goatee as a joke and she loved it so it's stayed that way.

Keeping it is easy just a quick daily shave with an electric shaver go get rid of the stuble and then a clipper with a number 4 guard on it to keep it tidy.

    Re: Beard? Beard.

    Another goatee sporting type here.

I've had mine for years, a bunch of friends grew them for a laugh in the early 1990s and mine has mostly hung around ever since. My other half has never seen me without my goatee and she has forbidden me to shave it off. I'm usually pretty stubbly around it as I don't like shaving and I'm a natural scruff.

I'm not a real man and don't need my beard to help me prove the point!

I have shaven the goatee off a couple of times and on at least one occasion my chin went cold and I felt like I was drooling constantly.*

    *I checked, I wasn't.
