under 'buyer collect'.. and the buyer paid up..
made a few vague arrangement-y noises..
then skipped straight to leaving positive feedback..
never actually having picked up the goods.
That's a new one on me.

Happened to me not long ago. Over quite a few weeks the buyer assured me they were coming to pick up the item but they always made an excuse (her child was in and out of hospital constantly, apparently). In the end I got fed up, which prompted her to pay via Paypal before promptly disappearing again. I refunded the money a couple of weeks later and I've never heard back from that person. I was selling a child's high chair...
Glad to see there are genuine buyers out there who will pay even though they can't pick up or its not cost effective to collect. This is going to happen more these days as people are using their phone to view items but ebay mobile is so vague compared to the full site version about terms etc. Myself seem to have about 2 -3 fv claims as selling car modification parts or pc items to kids with excuses like they don't get there pocket money till Friday.
I sold a lens which I didn't need anymore, the buyer was swinging the lead pretty badly. Basically arguing the toss that it didn't work. When I looked at his feedback he was buying lenses for many different types of Camera, not just Nikon. Told the guy I was a private seller, I was not a trader like him and he was only entitled to the fact that the lens matched it's descritption and that it was mine to sell, I was happy to verify the issue with it first and if it didn't work on my Camera I would happily refund him. He refused to send the lens back so I said find, no lens, no refund.
Never heard from him again
I sold a bottle of malt whisky a few weeks ago and the buyer still hasn't arranged to pick it up. Might have to give him a prod to remind him. Would be nice to afford to forget about a £300 bottle of whisky
happened to me before the buyer was too busy so never picked the items up
Might be worth seeing if you can get the buyer to withdraw from the sale mutually ? I assume you can do this even though positive feedback has been left ?
I had someone buy a Dyson Vacuum cleaner off me (brand new in the box !) and they messed me about with an echeque on paypal once, I had to wait and wait and wait for the sodding thing to clear, and it never did in the end I said do you want this or no ? They said they had changed their mind and we were able to sort it out that way. I relisted it agaon and it was snapped up and paid for promptly by quite a famous person.
Ha no, I belive it to have been a certain lady from a certain brand of top shelf magazine.
