I am thinking of leaving Orange and moving over to O2 for various reasons. Orange have alwyas been really good and seem to have good network coverage.
Does anyone know whether O2 are as good, or better?! :)

The only problem I've ever had with 02 is that I can't seem to ever set up my MMS for my phone. Other than that o2 have been good to me but I've heard some people say that they are not so good and the Orange is better. But I think that really depends on where you live for the coverage stuff.
O2 > *
I think they're great. Never had a single problem
Ive moved from Orange to 02 a couple of months ago and there is a big gap in coverage and service imo(sometimes ppl cant even connect to my mailbox when Im out of reach, sometimes ppl get an "invalid" number message when its working fine, sometimes ppl simply cant get through when the line is free) - tho Im with PAYG, dunno what contract is like.
Im with 02 because it's infinitely cheaper than Orange (for my purposes).
As for MMS being setup, I can only send MMS, but everytime anyone sends me MMS, I need to go online on a PC to view a site that shows me it - no idea how to get round this, my mate who's on 02 contract gets that as well.
Also know that for some people (Im really just thinking of someone in particular) 02 contract customer services are a right pain in the backside.
Like all services that can depend on local coverage.Quote:

I've been with O2 for the last 2 years & before that about 6 with Vodafone - haven't really noticed any difference between the 2.
Yeah - I moved from Orange to O2 as wel although there coverage doesn't seem as good, esp when I went on holiday to scotland it was really patchy.
Been using o2 for about 2 years now and have had no trouble. The way i sorted out my MMS receiving was to email them about it through the help section. They had to enable it at their end for it to work :)
MMS?
Is that TEXT MESSAGING or PICTURE MESSAGING.
I'm loathe to leave Orange but they do seem to want lots of dough :(
MMS= Multimedia message service = pictures :)
I've been with o2 for 5 years (btcellnet then genie then o2) and not had a problem. I've not had any bad tech support. It might take a couple of days (at the most) for them to reply but it's always been sorted out after 2 emails at the most. you get hundreds of free txts and mins and the contract prices are really not that bad! Thumbs up for o2.
Only problem i've got with them is the coverage in my bedroom, but that's cos i live right under some high rised flats that have masts on top of them.
Orange have got a goot deal on right now, £50 cash just for joining up online, the online orange tarrifs seriously challenge O2, I know alot of people on O2 and none of them ar happy, I know the company I work for left them because the network coverage was so poor, 3,000 handsets was alot to lose out on because of that, Orange got it as thiers is so good.
If you were going to O2 for the 200 minutes and the 500 texts per month check out the online tarrifs from orange before you do, I am on the 200 mins any network and 500 texts a month for £30, good deal imo.

:o why move to o2....they dont do the SPV c500 :o Best phone out atm :) all the features u can think of (camera, video cam, bluetooth, GPRS, 200mhz ARM processor, windows mobile 2003SE)just no 3G but not that big a problem, great battery life, pretty big very good quality screen and about same size as a T630 / 6230 :)
That's hardly a valid reason for not moving to O2 is it? Not having one phone in their range...
O2, Orange, Virgin all seem ok..... as for T-Mobile, the less said the better
t-mobile = virgin tho.... hate to break it to you :p
