Indian! Nothing beats the exoticness of an Indian.
Used to be really into Japanese food. Having gone paleo the sushi is gone but still appreciate good sashimi.
Current favourite is Spanish, especially seafood tapas. Bull's tail cooked in sherry is another favourite, washed down with a good Douro or Temranillo wine.
Thai, I think. A kind of halfway house between Chinese and Indian. With the emphasis on spice rather than heat. Although the heat race is probably more to do with British 'competitiveness' than authentic Indian cuisine...
Thai or Italian for me. Although on a Sunday it's got to be British. Fry-up in the morning and roast lamb in the evening. Bliss.
Most East Asian (Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese)
If I had to pick one, it would probably have to be Japanese food. What is interesting about Japan, is that despite being a country smaller than the UK, there is a lot of regional variation and specialities. And I do find myself liking most of their dishes. That said they are as a whole a little more bland than food find in other parts of Asia so I do occasionally feel like having something else. There are a lot of Chinese and Taiwanese dishes that I like. I also enjoy curry in general noting that again, they are very different depending on the country. I am also a fan of kebabs, but so much the donner type but shish and others.
Chinese and Middle Eastern cuisine are my favourites
Love most East Asian food but for the sake of something different, really, really enjoy Moroccan cuisine, a good Lamb Tagine is incredible.

This is bunny and friends. He is fed up waiting for everyone to help him out, and decided to help himself instead!
I cooked Lamb Tagine with fresh dates today, funnily enough.
I don't have a favourite national dish. It depends entirely how I feel on the day to do the cooking. Sometimes Italian, Portuguese, West Indian, Thai, American, etc. Thankfully I don't have to eat m&s bland ready meals!
ready meals. Arm in a sling, all I ate for a week was ready meals and take out, I gained 4kg and a despising of ready meals higher than I ever had. Even the soup in a chilled pot thing, just lack lustre.
Now as for the food around the world thing. I'll be honest, I love almost all! People here have neglected USA, but you know what, soon as I'm on my bicycle again, I'm having steak night, US style, going to make some beer batter, fry up some onion rings, make some triple cooked chips, the meat itself will probably not be US style, but Scottish. The beer, most likely Leffe than say US. But I might nock up some buffalo wings too.
When it comes to popularity, we have to acknowledge certain US things.
However, myself, I'd have to go for Asian, be it some of the curries, the salads, the noodles... I just love Vietnamese, and give it special mention, because when it comes to healthy, eat every meal, every day, they really do have such great flavour for health. If I've a cold, and want a simple broth, you betcha I'm having Pho. When it comes to salads, the only better I've ever had is a fusion (Gilgamesh's signature duck & watermelon, really should be duck, watermelon, cashew, east Asian basil).
As people have said Moroccan, tagine is great, so much to discover there, but I remember new years in Fez, saying to my friend, now I've had a Pastilla like this, I never want a cornish pasty again!
TLDR: So many of them I love, probably Vietnamese the most.

I've been all over the place, and it's not as easy as that. I love fresh sushi, but I've never had it in Japan.
I've have had Peking 'crispy' duck in Beijing, and it's quite different to westernised 'crispy' Peking duck. Same with most Chinese food. Authentic Indian food in India is not the same as a curry down your local takeaway.
I'm yet to find anything I hate, although Chibuku Shake Shake beer in Zambia with a local chicken stew which seemed to involve finding a local racing chicken (very little meat), plucking it and boiling it whole (head and giblets included) with some rice was pretty grim. Stroh rum is pretty grim stuff too.
Generally, I've found high quality, fresh ingredients will produce something wonderful regardless of where you are in the world.
