Yeah, i needed a few jobs to get the funds i require really, but didn't have enough luck for that, and the cash i have scraped together is mostly earmarked for something else. Still a month to go though, so fingers crossed!
Mind if i ask about how the government paid for tablet, DSA or similar? My dad mentioned something government grants for laptops etc after seeing an article in the Daily Fail, but i can't find anything about online.
Yes I had been diagnosed by an ed psyc as being dyslexic, so they bought me a laptop, it's just the one they wanted to buy me was useless, and it took a while to get the LEA to realise it was un-suitable, you would have thought a letter from my personal tutor would have sufficed!

Sorry Animus, had to rush out yesterday, hence my very brief reply. I know a lot has changed over the last one or two years, so i imagine any tip you might have from 10 years ago would be well out of date at this point.
Had a chance to try the weird looking Stabilo today. They do a similar shaped one for right handed people too. It felt ok to hold and write with, for the small amount of time in which i had to try it, but the ink was very wet, and smudged rather easily, especially on letters which have a second stroke over the top of a first one, like d, or p.
I'd like to get my hands on one of the Maped pens next.
i write as little as possible, nothing to do with left handed ness, but my eczema and psoraisis really doesnt appreciate being dragged over paper repeatedly again and again and my skin breaks, leaving blood trails over notebooks. Its just slightly irritating.
This tablet idea with digitizer looks interesting but get the feeling my handwriting is now so bad it wont recognise it
