This causes a problem further for the environment.

That's a deforestation debate. All i'm saying is, cow methane is not a direct contributor to global warming. To feed the planet is a challenge, the only real long term solution is to look at how to control human population.

I 100% agree, chopping down jungle and rain forest is digging our own grave, but if the land weren't used for cattle some other live stock would be farmed there. The land that's purged from rain forest is rarely able to support crops or even grassland, as nutrients are washed away in a few short years. But don't blame global warming on cow methane, the real enemy is those that allow it to be chopped down in the first place.

Capitalism is the problem IMHO, because food is going to become very expensive in the next 2 decades, and corporations want a piece of the action. Beef is not the enemy, money grabbing is the problem, and the governments that allow it at the cost of the environment.

But having said that we still need to feed the planet or start culling humans.
