I may soon have my ideal-layout, custom-made HOTAS!!
The company is not set up for modding the model I wanted in the fashion I was after... but has supplied me with the information on how it would be achieved *and* the parts to do it myself (it is simpler than even I first thought)!
Just got to find the time to make it, now!
Game controllers are quite simple devices really.
We managed to make effective controllers out of some potentiometers, hinges, duct tape, hot glue, arduino and gloves. Windows handled the calibration nicely and we were able to play things like Trackmania and Tux racer etc with whacky designs.
We made a collaborative controller out of a tennis ball, bottle and chairs too, coupled with accelerometers and gyros.
