I'd only known Nimoy as Spock up until a year ago when I started following him on Twitter and realised he was a generally all-round amazing person. Very inspiring, and very upsetting when I learnt that he'd passed away - at first I thought it was a hoax.
Saddening news indeed, may he R.I.P
He will be really missed by the SciFi fanbase, I liked seeing him appear in things more recently like Fringe...and as a baddy no less!!
I'm waiting for the Big Bang Theory tribute to him
