All credit to OPEL having never been to America, I wouldn't have got that in a million years. So, is the original picture, somehow, part of that structure? Rather a juxtaposition of styles.
To be fair, I wouldn't have got it from the first pic, but when I saw the second I recognised the design of the railings and the (to me at least) distinctive colour of the doors.
Good thread - perhaps an idea for an ongoing challenge?
