    4 Zone, Wireless, WIFi, Thermostat?

    Does anyone know of one?

With hot water, heating, then 2 zones of UFH (kitchen & upstairs bathrooms) I am looking to consolidate all our current 'stats. Hoping to find one that can be accessed via mobile phone/Wifi, is wireless around the house and can controlled all 4 zones separately/timed etc.

    Any suggestions?

    Cheers

Re: 4 Zone, Wireless, WIFi, Thermostat?

I wouldn't want a dozen wifi devices! I'd much rather have some Zigbee and a bridge. Assuming that's OK with you (it sounds like you've given us a user story in the body, and spec in the title lol) then I've been looking at this for a few years.

I'm not ready to push the button just yet. For me, the technologies are too immature, to expensive, and not cohesive enough to achieve what I want. However a friend of mine has splurged on some LightwareRF stuff he bought in maplin one day, I think as a passive aggressive move to piss of his wife, as these things are seriously overpriced, £45 per radiator valve topper. Plus they are also quite bulky, I worry that I wouldn't want to fit on my hall way rad as I'd keep bashing into it with my bicycle etc.

Re: 4 Zone, Wireless, WIFi, Thermostat?

Had a good look around when I was replacing my boiler in Feb at this type of thing and decided at this stage it was too expensive to go for a full solution so settled on a Nest thermostat that gives the wifi and phone app angle and wireless to the boiler control.

If money was no object I would have gone for the Honeywell EvoHome . Multi zone support and can link to and control radiators. Has some good integration with IFTTT.

If I were replacing my system I'd have gone for the EvoHome, but went for a Nest. If I recall you need a Nest per zone and they communicate with each other. The system has to also be zoned off, so your pipes would have to be 'zoned' if that makes sense.

I just have the one for now which is in the hallway. Its a nice bit of kit.

With the EvoHome you buy separate radiator thermostats as well as a control panel which remotely control the heat in that room.

    How's your German?

I've been toying with the idea of an eQ-3 product solution
