Lib dem + conservative/labour in a minority government situation. Pretty much every other combo has been ruled out. Its possible the SNP could also support labour on a vote by vote basis but it couldn't be a formal agreement... (Personally I'm just hoping Farrage loses as he promised to resign if he does)

Alternatively.. an agreement for vote-by-vote might be a win for the general public - if voting along party lines doesn't guarantee a bill is passed anyway, perhaps (ha) MPs will try and represent their constituents instead
That's extremely optimistic! Likely to be at least a week before the negotiations are complete, IMNSHO - more if the Lib Dems don't have enough seats to form a majority coalition with either of the main parties, because then the negotiations will be between three, four or even five parties....
Hugely unlikely; we had a referendum on that 4 years ago and it got voted down by the electorate (including by some supporters of proportional representation who complained that AV didn't go far enough). We're unlikely to get another referendum on it this quickly, particularly since the Lib Dems, with their very low projected share, have no political motivation to push for that as one of their red lines this time.
I happen to think that, if there was any deal between the Lib Dem's and Labour, a referendum on the issue may well be part of that deal. Short term it doesn't help the Lib Dems if their vote goes the way it's been projected, but long term it certainly would help a traditionally smaller party. And, if what has been projected to happen to Labours Scotland vote materialises, there may be more sympathetic ears to the notion from the red side.
Conservative and Labour both get the exact same number of seats, and having both failed in talks to find coalition partners end up deciding who is prime minister by the outcome of Rock Paper Scissors. Best of three.
Maybe there should be a Hexus Party (political Party that is) stepping forward. Sort this whole governmental thing out.
I wonder what the policies would be....
No trees were harmed in the creation of this message. However, many electrons were displaced and terribly inconvenienced.
Oh, I didn't mean as in who would run the country, was more a comment on how the voters have turned out, where the landscape is heading and how the general public are voting. I think it would be a while until we saw a solution to the voting.
As for the voting, if its constantly going to be a mash of votes that no one can have a majority, they either change the way votes are counted (as you say, highly unlikely) or they run the country with a coalition or minority going forward.

My area is a Labour safe seat.
Basically Lib Dems need to do well.
