2015 GE ... who do you think WILL win ....

Okay, we're 24 hours out, and we've had threads on who you will vote for, and if you've decided who you'll vote for, but not yet who ypu think will win.

Note .... NOT, repeat NOT who you WANT to win. We did that with who you'll vote for. But who WILL win ...and, exactly what "win" looks like.

I'll go way out on a limb and say ... no outright majority.

Yeah, despite the Tories "only need 23 weats" line, I don't buy it. Oh, technically possible, but only if EVERY poll in months has bern way wrong. Stupendous wrong.

My guess would be Tory as largest party. But probably not enough, even with LD and UKIP, DUP etc support, to be SURE of a majority in the Commons.

My guess would be UKIP may well do better than polls predict. And if not, if the SNP get 50-ish seats on 4% of the electorate, and UKIP get the predicted 1-ish with 14%, expect MAJOR rows over the electoral legitimacy of any Labour-led blocking grouping reliant on those 50 seats.

See, what's "legitimate"? Largest number of seats, or numbers of votes? If seats go one way, and votes the other, we have a recipe for turmoil.

My prediction for the election result? A right, steaming-great, all-singing, all-dancing, world-class, monumental, smelly as hell dogpile of a mess.

    It'll be great.

Yep, I'll be surprised if we have a clear winner this year, and end up with the same situation as last year, or we have another election.

No-one will win. We'll all lose. Either we'll get a hung parliament (more hung than before) where you can't fart without approval from Plaid Cwmry, or one of the smaller parties (UKIP/Greens) will get a surge of support and end up running things, without a clue what to do.

I think we'll see a Lab/Lib, I really want to see a Lab majority though.

As always. I'm getting really fed up of all the factoid criticism of the Tories; as if Labour would have genuinely been noticeably better. I don't understand why people who are usually so apathetic suddenly become political warriors around the election. It doesn't matter which party(s) come to power, they will still continue to transfer money to the wealthy, protect the bankers and dismantle the NHS, anything they say to the contrary is none-sense.

The public never win, the standard of living will continue to fall for the general working public and rise for elite.

To anyone wondering what the coffee remark is about, it's in another thread. Hunt it down if you are desperate to know.

Oh, and Galant, you're dead right.

Well it is politics after all, nice easy targets. Still, with all these Saracen compliments I might need to create a new sig!

A hung parliament. I can't see anything else happening unless the SNP momentum in Scotland was a smokescreen which I doubt and labour hold on to them 40 seats.

It will be interesting to see if Ed really sticks to his promise of refusing to work with the SNP rather than let David Cameron back into Number 10. He said, no deals, no coalition, no background discussions - no nothing!

Which effectively means he won't be Prime Minister. And David Cameron won't get enough to hold a majority. If the Lib Dems don't suffer as badly as projected you may get them both in a coalition again though. We all know Nick will take whatever he can get. Forever the pragmatist.

He wont, he is banking on (and heavily campaigning the idea of) people voting Labour instead of SNP just to keep the Tories out, when it comes to the 11th hour he will change his tune for sure. UKIP and/or Lib Dem will happily jump into bed with the Tories though I suspect.

A silly gamble given the SNP momentum here in Scotland. He will be seen as a liar which will hurt his party for years to come. Silly Ed.

Tories will take it by more than 50%.
    Labour in second, around 20%.
    UKIP in third, about 16%.

Re: 2015 GE ... who do you think WILL win ....

Milliband will have no trouble coming up with a reason to welcome any/every party he needs to form a coalition. My bet would be some sort of 'greater good' diatribe rationalising it on the basis that if he doesn't the tories will form one and destroy the universe as we know it blah blah.

Whoever forms a coalition, get ready for 5 years of backstabbing, blame games and nonsensical laws mashed together because so many concessions had to be made to so many different groups. Politics at the expense of government.
