    RIP Isao Tomita :(

Im really really upset about this one.

His music along with that of Wendy Carlos, and the influence of Bob Moog literally changed my life. I designed and built my own synths in the 70s, and it was all down to those three.

If you've not heard of him, check out his Debussy transcriptions, including this, my all time favourite :

    RIP Isao

Some pretty awesome sounds there. It does make me wonder how many musicians he's influenced. That linked music reminds me of so many different tracks and game music. Proteus game music sounds as if it was directly inspired by Isao..

Kenny Everett was a HUGE fan, you can hear loads of clips from Snowflakes in his Caprain Kremen series, plus other bits thrown into the mix on a regular basis.

Tomita, Carlos, and Kraftwerk, the MOST influential trio of all of electro pop. And folk dont know it !

I was never a huge fan of Kraftwerk. Not bad, but far from my favourite. I loved Tomita's stuff, though. Still do.

    RIP, Isao.
