Graphene condoms, anyone?

All sorts of cool stuff going on with Graphene at the minute, but this one's tickled me on a Friday afternoon - a rubber-graphene composite that could lead to much thinner and stronger condoms (amongst other uses).

Interestingly this work was at least in part funded by the Gates Foundation as part of their healthcare promotion activities.

Graphene condom just sounds wrong doesn't it? In a 'multiple micro lacerations' kind of way.

But a great discovery if it pans out.
