Damaged EBAY Purchase from Feb ?

I purchased powechair through a seller who was selling on ebay but paid for it by creditcard. The problem now is it was never sold as described in the listing ( Something never I realised this at the time )due to the fact he had concealed abd replaced all the broken parts so it was not obvious.

Thankfully seller does still have an account on ebay - but I have no way of opening a dispute because of the length of time thats passed inbetween and the fact I have no ID no, Is there anything I can do ?

Do you have proof that it was the seller? If it wasn't obvious and you missed it for months then is it possible the seller did the same?

Was it sold as a private sale or through a company?

Yes I have the receipt from his online store.

It was sold through his online store.

Nothing you can do through ebay. If you had paid via paypal, you'd have the ability to claim up to six months after the purchase date.

Not sure what protection you card issuer offers - maybe give them a call?

Because you can do a chargeback if anything went wrong?

Was it a buy it now or auction style purchase?

If its a BIN and the seller is a company (sole trader or limited company) then it should be a straightforward process. Email the seller and explain your concern, and if you get nothing back contact your credit card company and explain to them. If it is an auction then different rules apply and your chances of getting something back are minimal sadly.

I was convinced it was a buy it now, but the seller already blew me off by not responding to my concerns, so maybe I should just phone mastercard ?
