Were you able to migrate keychain passwords to lastpass? Where do you store the shared database?

Edit: so the database is on the lastpass server, and you need premium to sync across all devices?

I have never used Premium Peter, just the free version and that is used across all my devices.

Edit : No, never had any luck with the Keychain

    Re: Passwords *shake fists*

I've always used Password Safe, but recently I've been toying with wombling together my own web-based one (so I can keep passwords on my server and not out there).

Hmm, I am not sure how I feel about having a cloud based solution. I thought about using a spreadsheet to store hints and perhaps encrypt it with something (though I would need reasurrance that decrypting it won't create a temp file that isn't immediately wiped).

    Re: Passwords *shake fists*

If you are syncing across several devices, you will need to store a master database somewhere, either on a server of your own, or somewhere else (cloud has become a generic term) but you could use something like Box or Dropbox.

I'm still pondering on the problem with Android, but I think I'll live with the inconvenience at the moment.

SyncThing is always an option if you want machine sync without the centralised storage out on some random internet server and don't care for BitTorrent Sync.

Currently using KeePass with some plugins for 2FA tokens, chrome plugin for auto-filling passwords on request, and added some custom password generation templates.
Synced to dropbox, accessible via android app KeePass2Android which has a keyboard for auto-typing passwords in to boxes.

And I am back again, after almost forgetting the password that lead me to me to create this thread in the first place

LastPass is becoming tempting, but before I go for it, I was wondering if there is a service out there that is also keylogger resistant.

Biometric sounds more appealing by the day, and even a pin that needs to be entered in a randomised onscreen keypad would make it a bit harder for the password to be stolen.

    Re: Passwords *shake fists*

Before lastpass I had 5-6 passwords and variants on those.

http://haveibeenpwned.com made me get my act together

Now I have 250 sites in lastpass, all are different and all but 4 are randomly generated
    - just make sure your master password is a secure one and use 2FA !

Sounds great! I would gratefully receive it if you are okay with it

If I like it, I will probably get another licence for my folks. They -really- need to "upgrade" their passwords.
