Remember Toblerone are now owned by Kraft/Mondelez sadly. They did these kind of experiments with Cadbury's only they succeeded and from what I gather changed ingredients on various lines too...

They appear to only be there to mangle a brand for cost savings and bigger bonuses not progress or improve the brand. Cadbury's darkest hour was selling to Kraft imo.

Its OK,it seems the chocolate is a bit thinner.

Yorkies have gotten tiny now though after Nestle took over.

Yorkies also taste really bad since Nestle took them over. Quite 'American' in taste. Like Hershey's, only without the bitter aftertaste.

yes. agreed. And the tragedy of Cadbury going was that they didn't want to sell - it was a hostile takeover via investment bank trading on shares. Cadbury stupidly didn't restrict voting rights on share issues and the government stood back and let it happen. The board were against the sale, the large shareholders (investment banks) forced it through. Really really tragic.

Maybe the seats are wider than those on other Boeing planes and can be made narrower, or they plan to provide customers with girdles to they fit in them.
No they are moving to 3-4-3. They can't omit an aisle - that is H&S standard. All of the seat spacing gets reduced and the seat WIDTHS reduced. The seats are already as close together as they can go. So enjoy the squash folks. I've had the privilege of flying next to a fat knacker who spilled over into my seat and sweated on me - literally. This is only going to get worse. They shouldn't be allowed to do this IMO.

I haven't had a Toblerone for a while, but don't they print each letter on a chunk? So removing 1 might be a bit weird! T O B L E R O... But agree just making it smaller in a couple of directions would have looked better, as every other chocolate bar has done. On the plus side, if you make it smaller you can put smaller callorie and sugar figures on it, so it becomes healthier.

I didn't even realise they had a 3-3-3 layout; it is normally the Americans who have this sort of layout for more width (like the odd 2-5-2 layout you can get).
Looking at SeatGuru, the current width of a BA 777 Economy seat is 17.5".
    https://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Br...ng_777_300.php

The width of an Air France 777 Economy seat with the 10 wide layout is 17", as is Alitalia's.
    https://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Ai..._777-300_C.php
    https://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Al...ng_777-200.php

However, KLM some how manages to keep the 17.5" width in their 777's with a 3-4-3 layout.
    https://www.seatguru.com/airlines/KL..._777-300ER.php

So you will loose half an inch, but I don't know how the measurements are quantified. It is worth noting that 17.5" seems to be BA's standard on all their wide bodied jets (the 747 and 380, both of which have a 3-4-3 layout). All those aircraft above will be used on long haul flights as well. The shortest flight I had on a 777 was with BA to Moscow I think, at about 3.5 hours. I am ignoring the 1 hour flight I had between Argentina and Uruguay, but that was after we had flown from Paris to Argentina, we then had to all get off for a couple of hours before returning to our seats for that bit!

Yea, that is more likely, but I can hope they wont make the seats narrower

Thats what complaining is for, especially on social media.

Very true, if you dont fit in the seat, you dont go on the flight! Just like cabin luggage.

Oh, wait, you mean shouldnt be allowed to wedge more seats in, dont you.

Just change the weight allowance to include passenger weight as well, perhaps making an allowance for height. So a passenger allowance is (say) 120kg. If you weigh 110kg, you can take 10kg of luggage (or pay an excess). If you weigh 80kg, you can take 40kg of luggage. The weight limit might need to take height into account as there isn't much you can do about that.

    Back on topic...

I pretty much stopped eating chocolate when the big brands were taken over by Kraft and the like, and they started using high fructose corn syrup, which tastes foul and is incredibly damaging to health. On the rare occasions I do buy chocolate, it's usually something like Green_and_Blacks. Occasionally something like a kit_kat if I need an energy boost when I'm outdoors walking and need a short term energy boost.

This ^ to both of these. And if you're too wide for a seat you should be made to buy two. As for the corn syrup, I couldn't agree more. I've stopped eating Cadburys entirely and just buy selective fair trade chocolate infrequently.

The weight thing would work for me. I am lighter than most passenger but relocate short term (making shipping time/cost inefficient) more often than not, sometime for sporting or photography activities, which means that my luggage is often heavier than most. So often, I shop for airlines that offer two check-in luggages for the routes I go, and try to gain/maintain airline alliance frequent flyer status just for the benefit of being able to take an extra piece.
