A bit over the top?
I wish they banned some of the outright bollocks spouted by both sides during the referendum campaign.

Agreed. It's yet another sign of the bonkers society we live in today.
In fact I'm amazed we are allowed to use Pans, let along a Knife and Fork. Can you imagine the damage we could do to ourselves if we didn't use them correctly !!!
As far as I heard it was just 'don't encourage people to use open cans', which, in fairness, people are stupid enough to do. The online version had been modified and the ASA said that was fine.
'Oh H&S won't let us do anything these days'. LOL. BBC picked up on this because it seems stupid, but it's no more stupid than half the other stuff the ASA ban, but the beeb hasn't picked up on it because they aren't as funny as beans, which will always be funny in every context.
You wouldn't say it was barmy when your kid did it and they flung the beans into the TV by accident!
Capitalization is the difference between helping your Uncle Jack
off a horse and helping your uncle jack off a horse.
I don't think the ASA have gone mad, what upsets me is private companies telling customers what they can and can't do for no reason whatsoever and just citing H&S and getting away with whatever they want.
