    Re: RIP George Michael

Not what I have wrote, but sums it up perfectly for me.

Pop stars are a huge part of a young boy or girls lives, especially in the 1980s when we had our tape recorders and our radios, that was it technology speaking.

When I was 10, I began to really listen to the chart music of the day and the biggest bands of the time were Wham, Duran Duran and Spandau Ballet. Anytime I hear one of their songs it takes me back to my early teens and the memories of what life was like and George was a big part of it whether it was dancing around the living room to wake me up or watching careless whisper on 'Top of the Pops'.

I know there are thousands of 40 somethings' who feel like I do tonight, heartbroken for the death of one of our musical heroes who brightened up our teenage years.
