Interesting insight there. I also believe it's partly to do with changing location and/or a sudden change in body position, those seem to cause entirely new thoughts in my head and continue to think of those new things whilst in transit then get confused with why I ended up where I did. I've often thought whether I should do something to improve my memory - I might research that.

i forgot why i came into this thread ...
Wow that is pretty deep but makes sense. I wish I could recall like that because if you think about it most of things we do is out of habit formed because of certain circumstances. I would have to try and remember though if I hope to ever fully understand myself. I have heard and tried to work with the memory palace method but never really got the hand of it. But this just reminded me that there is still a whole lot buried in my head out of plain sight. Come to think of it after trying to remember my childhood a few weeks ago I actually remembered a few incidents which I had never thought about after a certain age.
I dry myself off...without using a towel.
I run my hands all over and wipe off as much water as possible before I even step out the shower. I flick all excess water off. I find this makes drying way easier, you aren't just dragging a wet soggy towel over you trying to soak up a little more. When I'm dry, my towels are damp, at best.
