The heat wave has passed - what's the weekend plan, Stan?

    Lo people

Now we have temperatures that won't cook your soul while you're trying to sleep/breathe/exist - what are the plans for the weekend?

It's FRIDAY (Chris Tucker and Ice Cube quote inbound)

Anyone got any LAN plans? Anyone going to gigs? Anyone hitting the beach? PC rebuilds? Car fixing?

Changing discs and pads all round on a Golf Mk 5

Dissasembly the five millions fans located around the house

Regretting paying all that money for air con fix and regas

Starting to wonder if that pool was worth it and will that green ever go away

Re: The heat wave has passed - what's the weekend plan, Stan?

I have been doing a spreadsheet catalogging all my retro games. I have everything done except for Atari ST & Amiga, reason for this is they got mixed together and with similar sized boxes they need separating, so going to do that and get them onto the spreadsheet.

Other than that we are hoping for a semi nice weekend as round here it has been overcast for a few days with thunder yesterday morning, it did get out nice around 6pm for an houir or two but prior to that we had blazing hot on Monday but thats been it. If we get nice weather we will probably do a BBQ with the DAB setup outside and Planet Rock blaring!

get yourself a large sun shade potential bud, in case it gets hot mid way through.

and get an extension lead out to the work area and one of those fans ready.. to keep you cool while you're working on the car. Errors are made when the sweat starts getting in your eyes.

Swapping the wheels on my car, finally, one is buckled so it's been a bit bumpy for months.

Got to cut the grass, reseal the shower, fix the bathroom taps, pick a new phone and do some holiday shopping - 3 weeks to go

Your right, I was going to do it a few days ago but it was just so hot, so waited for a bit of cloud. Hoping the sun doesn't come out today!

Getting my aircon regassed... kinda late, but only just got paid.
Saturday will be shopping, lunching with the Mrs and Furbabies, hanging with a friend and quite possibly having a braai.

Sunday, said friend is turning into our DM and ruling our lives, as the bunch of clueless idiots in my party do their best to get me killed, jailed, hunted or otherwise rain on my parade...

Re: The heat wave has passed - what's the weekend plan, Stan?

I have taken my first day off work this year today, and its for admin!
    Car is currently getting serviced.
Got someone coming round to service the boiler.
Need to phone up for house insurance (it's a coach house, so a bit awkward to organise online).
However, found out my phone line isn't working (broadband is, and I am on FTTP). Probably why I haven't been getting any missed calls from marketers for the last few weeks! BT have found it to be "inconclusive", so need to wait to hear back from them.

Turntable wrangling. I have an old Dual 505-2 coming broken and it's going to be fixed and upgraded to my usual high spec, then sold (or kept, depending on how good it is).

    Car boot sales.

Take Sally to church and eat breakfast in the pub while she's there.

    Refill the bird feeder.

    Bring the bins in.

    Eat some steak.

    Drink some fizzy wine.

The above not necessarily in that order.
    Cheers, David

    Only 900m?

Not sure that I totally approve that a kill shot is represented in the Guinness book.

I'm having a picnic and then watching midsummer night's dream at an outdoor theatre - thank goodness that I have sourced some bottles of fizzy red wine

Not sure I approve of an anti-materiel calibre, usually for mounted weapons, being considered a sniper weapon... kinda seems like cheating, really!!
