115 Million page views a day

Thought that this was quite impressive

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/4672869.stm

Just a shame about why it happened.

Visits to the BBC News website soared last week as people went online to find out more about the bomb attacks in London.
The site had a record estimated 115 million page views, more than five times the average daily figure.

well over a gigabit per second at the peak of it apparently..

Luckily Akamai took most of it after the first traffic spike.
