Never had a Goose, I always prefered a Turkey anyway.

You should give it a try, it's a tasty bird.

Tip: about 20 minutes before you serve the roast bird-of-choice, baste (lightly brush the surface) with a little cold water. This will make the skin go nice and crisp and brown by the time you serve.

Silly question...Turkey all the way. If cooked properly Its a great bird, and will last you for days

I'm not a huge fan of duck myself, but I do quite like goose..still turkey is nicer imho and ofc it is traditional for xmas lunch I don't like having something different on xmas day, My favourite meat is definitely roast beef but I would still choose turkey for xmas rather then beef..its tradition.

the worse offenders are people who do pork for xmas lunch..i mean wtf? The most boring and bland meat you can cook (don't know how many people have it for xmas but my aunt does it every year, we don;t tend to go there for christmas )

We've also gone for duck this year. Certainly one of my favourite bird meats.
