    New Simpsons episode

Did anyone just watch the new episode of the Simpsons with Rickey Gervais in it?

Was it just my cynical nature that made me believe it just appeared to be a half hour advert for HDTV, or did anyone else think that too?

I've seen it and wasn't particularly impressed. The newer simpsons seasons have gone a little down hill but I've seen better than this particular episode. It wasn't terrible though

Yup - it was a pretty poor episode...and the irony of it will be lost on the Americans too:
    1. Simpsons in hi-def - er ,yeah, ok ;-p
    2. $ky can't even get widescreen right - I think I'll wait a while before I splash loads of cash on a new screen :-)

i didnt see it, but from the sounds of it i didnt miss much. I used to really enjoy the Simpsons but the newer episodes just dont have the same appeal.

Im a HUGE family guy fan now

/me waits eagerly for Amazon to bost my copy of Family Guy Season 4

I've got the 7 seasons on The Simpsons released so far and will probably continue to get them as they are released, but yeah, Family Guy is much much funnier

    it was terrible.

from all the adverts i thought it was gonna be funny, i sat and waited 2 hours for it to come on, and nothing... it was first half a HDTV advert, then the latter part a VERY poor show from ricky gervais, i expected higher.

You could see they tried to get his mannerisms across and basically it didnt work. Not that the storyline was funny or anything.

"There aren't enough pixels in the world!!" made me laugh though

Only one word for it. Crap. (At least the only word that is acceptable on a forum) I was looking forward to it but TBH the episodes preceding it last night were far better.

Considering some poll voted Gervais as "the funniest man in the world" it was a complete letdown.

In all honesty I do not find him funny. In the office, Mackenzie Crook is funnier than him and in the extra's, well I watch the first 5 minutes and then never watched them again.
