    I've made about £500 :)

remember those Xmas cards I posted up a while ago?
well I flogged them for all I was worth (and also had a calendar I made...) and in total I expect to have raised roughly £500

not bad for a bit of painting eh

and I'm sure I'll carry on doing more...anyone know what graphic designers get? is there a need for them or should I just keep it a hobby? comic book artist? story book illustrator? could I have unwittingly rejected my education for something I find, well, fun...!

    I think perhaps

Please, Don't ask for that one 'as a desktop'...its really not worth wasting your time asking, unless you're able to pay £££?

    Gr44's system
GFX design can be quite hard to find work, unless you find a place in a company doing it ( rather than freelancing ) goto deviantart.com and try and get a job or to, see how things go, i warn you, people dont often tell you what they want! "something like er, this" etc etc

Good luck, no harm in trying

Either way having a hobby you enjoy and can make a bit of money out of on the side can't be a bad thing

i'm more pencil to paper/painter than anything else but I scan my work in and enhance it a bit so it can be 'mass produced' if need be...
I use photoshop regularly and thus know what to do and how...but my initial image comes from papar sketch/drawing/painting.

Ah, I rowed for Oxford Uni lightweights a couple of years back and outside of uni I'm rowing up in Lancaster. Did you do BIRC?

    whats BIRC??

oh..that indoor rowing malarky? no way. I'm crap at ergs and even crapper in front of a crowd...I can get 6.32 but I went to that indoor chmps thing and f*ed it up bad, coming in at 6.45 ... I think the diagnosis of overtraining from the BOMC the following week sort of exhonorated my poor performance but it was an experience I'm willing never to repeat.
I prefer on the water only, I'm bloody nippy in a 1x and for the lightweight I am, taking out so many big guys was funny! I used to row in oxford, was at Teddies (no, not teddy hall, st edward's - up the woodstock rd). did ok
