    Lightbulb Check this cool peice of Software out.

    Hi all i have found a really cool peice of software it lets you stream your music, video pics and other stuff to any web enabled device so you could listen to your music whist you are at work. its http://www.orb.com/

    I am streaming my music to my PDA at the moment. oh and it FREE yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy



    Opteron 146 @2400Mhz,Abit KN8Ultra,2GB DDR PC3200,250GB Samsung SP2504C SATA II ,ATI X1900 XT 512MB,Sound Blaster Audig,DELL 2405FPW,10 MB CABLE

    mate nothing is free its most prob full of viruses so just scan all u download to be on the safe side if not then let us all no then maybe ill try it :0

    Of course some things are free, it all depends on their business model. They have Creative, Sprint and Hauppauge listed as partners, all companies that would probably be interested in building Orb's technology into their own products. So although the user software is free, they probably mke their money on licensing.

    EDIT: Also if you are interested in this kind of thing, there is also http://www.videolan.org/streaming/ a free and open source app that aims at doeing this kind of thing too. I don't think it supports a huge number of portable devices, but it is definitely possible in the future

    I tried it once to get music streaming to my brothers PSP... preferred an itunes hoster thing instead

    I've used this before and think its great. Couldn't get it to stream live TV, but I think it doesn't support my TV Card.

    Was really good for streaming music and videos.

    nar there is no spyware incuded i checked out the install terms and i also did a full san and there was nothing installed.

    yeah today its not working for some reasion but is was yesterday. its not letting me sign in eaither they must be having network problems. but i asure you its there and it works great. when you can get to it.

    Wow cool, I only know of winamp's SHOUTcast will allows you to transmit the audio....
