    Manchester LAN Party - FragM.co.uk

    Hey there,

Hopefully this is the right place to mention this, but I'm involved in running a LAN Party in central Manchester that I thought might be of interest to some of you

We're a fun-orientated LAN and we play a highly varied mix of games...from the latest FPS to the oldest platformers. We run tourneys for lots of these games...with prizes

The next event will be held at the Rusholme TA Centre on the 11th-13th of August.

Anyhow, please check out the site if you're interested:

    http://www.fragm.co.uk

(Hope this doesn't seem like spam..I have friends registered here that would've posted but they're far too lazy )

How have you sorted out the power this year. I hear that the TA baracks are somewhat infamous for spikes and been generally poor quality.

The Barracks had a previous LAN their that blew the power so they've completely upgraded their mains power fuses and have a backup power line in place. Since they did that, they've not had any problems with people at the LANs

Ahhh i didnt know they had redone the power supply. I heard reports of peoples pc's going up in smoke when the power went. Dont want to risk that as im sure you understand . Anyway i live the other side of the the curry mile about the same distance so i might try make it along. Will speak to my housemates about it though.

We've now got access to an additional rec room so there's a proper place to sleep at last

Anyone at Hexus want to sponsor?

Lol, bit too far from Sweden? I guess I'll let you off just this once

@Johnny - we'll be having another one in sep/oct/nov so feel free to pop along to that one if you feel like it. Should be somewhat larger too, what with all the students being back in town...
