    My web layout

    Hello,

Just wondering what you thought of my idea for a website layout:

Purely from a design aspect, not bothered what you think of the literary side just yet

Any feedback is welcome, preferably constructive criticism.

    Thanks

    `P

i assume the charles oliver - cpoliver.com is just a watermark that will be removed. Apart from that looks good i'd say. Personally i would prefer the corners on the white area that are currently angled like \ and / to be more straight with rounded corners rather than sloping in, but thats just personal opinion

btw if you modelled that in max, well done, looks good..do you work in the industry, or just a student?

To get an avatar requires you make 500 sensible posts.....yet still people ask so why do I even bother having this here!

Sadly that's just a royalty-free image I used till I finish my Lambo, I aspire to get that good soon though!
Yeah that's a watermark. I was considering what you said about the edges, I'll try it next

I'm just doing it as a hobby but I might do it for a career in a few years.

    Thanks

The navigation bar looks alot better now. As before hand with the larger angles, it didn't compliment the site very well... as the top was straightened off. Like if you had the theme of the sharper or more rounded corners of the white space on the header, it would suit it.

Anyways nice clean design, rounded corners at the bottom look ok, but in this case I preferred the straight box like design.. along with the new navigation bar. It looks more clean cut then.

Gotta be honest. I didnt buy a 19" TFT in order to only use 1/3rd of it. Thats a whole load of wasted space there, and I dont like wasted space

Totally OT (sorry propaganda), but how well does that work? Seen it on a nice pro Viewsonic i fancy for video and photo work but never seen it in practise.

The Dell 20" and 24" wideboys have that feature it's so cool. Very good for reading documents/web pages and such.

NP about the off topicness btw
