Boycott Portugal

I say that we won't stand up for their cheating, cynical nonsense. Yeah, so they get through to the Semis by not playing fair.....well good luck to them.

From now on I'll never again holiday in Portugal; I'll never buy Port again- Sherry or Vermouth will do me. I'll certainly never buy wine with a cork in again- it's plastic or bust for me from now on.

I'm completely sodding fed up with being discriminated against for playing fair. Ideally England should withdraw right now from Euro 2008 and World Cup 2010. In the mean time, we can send a message to countries who think that cheating is O.K.

How exactly did they cheat? I didnt watch it, but i saw the highlights, and if youre talking about rooney, he deserved to get sent off, stamping on someones family jewels != cricket.

As a bit of a greenie we should always buy real cork in our wine, for the following reasons: <draws breath>

• The drop in demand for cork, is making the portugese chop down cork forests to plant regular crops. Which...

• Didn't take a dive in the Quarter finals of the cup, they only dive to catch small furry critters for lunch.

Seriously, it's a topic I regularly bore people to death on. When plastic corks first appeared they were branded as "green" because they didn't damage trees. Wrong Cork doesn't damage trees, you peel it off the outside, then leave the tree for a couple of years and it grows back. Plastic cork's have caused loads of trees to be chopped down because they're no longer profitable.

So please don't buy plastic corks because you think they're green. Or even because disagree with the way the Portugese play football. The fact that wine doesn't go off as often with plastic than cork...well that is a valid reason, but buy cork anyway.

I'm still boycotting French produce for them banning our beef and long may it continue, damn cheese eating surrender monkeys. I think I have ended my ban of Argentinian produce due to the Falklands but that may get re-instated if they continue demanding them back. As for Portugal I can't ban their produce just cos of their footballers, maybe if they tried to invade the Isle of White I could but then I've never really been into sherry (or is that Spain - damn Iberians all seem the same) I could not drink port at Christmas I suppose.

I also like how the Portugese person above claims that we suck at cricket bearing in mind how the Portugese Cricket team has been devasting the worlds cricket teams for the last decade. Apparantly they bowled the Aussies out for 51 last time they played them......oh no, wait I must have dreampt that up.
