Anybody else use Karoo?
Now, unless you live in Hull, the answer will probably be "no."
Not really having a choice when it comes to ISP, I guess I'd better ask - how is everybody else's for reliability? Karoo "upgraded" their mail server a year ago - and it's not worked properly since. Frequently it fails to authorise passwords. For the last two days their mail servers have been playing up. After 36 hours of "we're aware of a problem and are endeavouring to fix it" they've blamed it on "unprecidented levels of spam" and expect that it will be "resolved by approximately 10pm." From the behaviour the mail server has been giving me it is NOT spam causing the problem. Another example - their FTP server (for homepages) wasn't working. After 4 days I e-mailed them, telling them they needed to restart the ftp service. I got an e-mail back saying that THEY had identified a problem and fixed it. Now, I can live with my ISP being run by idiots, but only if they admit it. I apologise for ranting. Perhaps if somebody let's me know that Karoo isn't the only bad one, I'll start feeling better. |

Ahh, a fellow Karoo Rapid Time user! To be fair my ADSL connection itself is rock solid and I get good speeds. It's just when their core routers mess up or the mail servers go down!
