    eBay, Reciept and Warrenty

Basically I bought something off eBay, which will be covered under warrenty.. the guy sent me the original reciept.

(Reciept is from Game), However, It says "Harddrive20GBX -69.99", then on the next line "-1 @ 69.99", "Refund - 10 day returns", "Harddrive20GBX" 69.99", "Nothing to pay", "£0.00".

Does this look like it won't be covered by warrenty and the guy has done some sort of scam at the shop Game and ripped them off?

I could scan the reciept if anyone is interested.

    Thanks

    Possibly.

I was thinking about asking the seller about it, but thought it would be better to ask you guys for opinions first.

He's bought a faulty HD, returned and got a replacement. The receipt is still valid, even though they may try and give you hassle if you return it, legally you're still entitled to a replacement.

Of coure you only need to return it if it breaks which is pretty unlikely tbh.

Quick question then, generally does the 12 month guarantee commence at the start of the original purchase or at the time of the replacement?

Where I work, the store guarantee is from original purchase, but it can be sent back to the manufacturer under their guarantee upto 12 months after the replacement is issued.

original purchase date, but to be fair, if people have had issues with a console and had it replaced, the guarantee is very lenient.
