no festivals this year for me now download and eurockeens are gone ;/
None of those really appeal to me anyway - with the exception of the prodigy (as i missed them @ DL) and 2 many DJs...now they would be ace to see live
Mac Pro, 2x Quad core 2.8ghz Xeon, 512mb 8800GT, 4gb DDR2 FB-Dimm
Macbook, 1.8ghz Core Duo, 2GB Ram, Superdrive iPhone 2G 2.0.1 "Is it a coincidence that an anagram of gordon brown is "born do wrong" ?, I rest my case. |

OK, apparently the guy I'm going down there is meeting a load of people from another forum at 5pm today outside the ride that looks like the Playstation ride at Blackpool. If anybody has any great desire to point at my face, I shall be there, either wearing a t-shirt similar to this:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Go-Coo-T-Shirt...QQcmdZViewItem or a black bedraggled 13 year old prodigy t-shirt ![]() Woooooop!

Well,
I just got home a few hours ago, have to say I had a fantastic time, loved every minute. Didnt see much touble, I seen 2 fights in total one of them right next to me with 2 guys jumping on some charva and then dragging him outside. i saw ome great sets but missed a few I had wanted to see. Hightlights had to be : Prodigy - fantastic as ever, atmosphere was great in the crowd as well, people were going mental. Paul Van Dyk - Kicking set, best of the good grief tent. Plump DJ's - had never seen them before, was well impressed. Scratch Perverts - Again had not seeen before, only caught the last 15 mins but what I heard was really good. Missed quite a few of the ones I wanted to see like Mylo, Oakenfold, Layo and Bushwacka but you cant do everything at an event like that. Also went on the massive spinny ride thing, must have been 150ft up easily, could see the whole site fly by at 90mph.

Well, I stayed in Runcorn at a premier lodge and we got a taxi in, we did still have to walk about a mile and a half, that trudge uphill to the event was a nightmare, specially at 6am when we walked past the bus tickets only to find we had to walk all the way back.
I didnt ache at all the next day (well, except my jaw...), we took a trip to Liverpool and had some food and a drink at the Albert dock. I have been checking out the dontstayin forums and there seem to be a lot of people who didnt have sucha good time, problems with scallies and the like. We did hear at the first aid tent when my mate was getting a plaster for her foot that there had been some stabbings and one fatality. Honestly do not know what posseses people to take knifes into an event like that. Should eb a mandatory 5 years in prison for even carrying a knife imho.

He asked me if I had any blades on me... It wasn't too bad actually, as I did the entire thing straight - didn't have any special sweeties on me. :-)
It was quite weird - I've never felt so relaxed in such a large group of scallies before - people just seemed to be happy to have a random chat with anyone about anything. Oh and of course there were the million times I got asked if I had any pills for sale ![]() But obviously in a crowd of that size there are going to be some that act like complete tools. I don't understand it - why pay that much money to go somewhere just to be a total prick? I have to say, although I did enjoy myself muchly, I'm getting a bit too old for it now. By about 3-4am me and my mate were just hoping that a cup of tea and armchair tent would appear as if by magic

ahhh you should have went VIP you see.
The only tables and chairs were in there and it was nice to be able to retreat to somewhere civilised aftera couple of hours stomping it up in the good grief tent. The music was quality old skool as well, very nice for a chill out and some drinks (bar wasnt so busy either). I did get searched on the way in but I wouldnt call it very complete, no sniffer dogs (thankfuly). I would have expected to see some metal detectors but they didnt have those either. I would deffo go again, but I would like to see anybody in a tracksuit wandering around to be ejected, it said no tracksuits on the ticket but there were plenty around.

Pleased you guys had a good time...I really wanted to go myself, seeing all the DJs that I'd seen over the summer in Ibiza, much like mart, but unfortunately, being an unorganised, and, more to the point, employed bloke, I missed out.
Will try and make it next time though...were the VIP tickets worth it then Gaz?

Well worth it imho, but then £100 isnt that much cash for me for a once in a while event. If I was unemployed like you mate I would probs just sack it and go for the £57 ticket.
