Formula 1 - Istanbul, Turkey (27/08/06)
What a fantastic race that was!
This whole season has been a joy to watch and a lot of it is due to the nothing but spectacular competition between Alonso and Schumacher. Just great to see two awesome drivers battling it out. I was sure that Schumacher would overtake Alonso near the end today but he just kept slipping up, was unusually below par. The finale was great, if they were any closer they'd have been sitting in the same car! Great race by Massa and Button, both drove really strong throughout. I'm kinda hoping that Schumacher wins the next one so we can go to a real nail biting finish for the last few races! |

Great watch, espescially towards the end of the race. Real flashback to Monza from last season. Gald to see Schumacher stayed behind Alonso as it would've been a farce if he passed then Massa letting him through- 12 seconds with 2 laps to go is a bit excessive- and would not have been good for the sport.
Still hoping to see the Mclarens win a race this year, Kimi was unlucky today, and could've got s strong result. Can't wait for the final four races!

Kimi should just change his last name to Unlucky. I'm convinced he is one of the best drivers but the amount of reliability problems he has is unbelievable, he must be jinxed.
If you had to bet your money on any driver retiring, it would have to be him. Hopefully he'll get his chance some day. |

Sorry to put a downer on it, but I still think F1 has evolved into little more than a procession, with the major determining factor being the pit strategy. If you ask me, that isn't racing.
