How does UPS work?
Has anyone here ever had a delivery from UPS before?
I've always had deliveries either from Parcel Force whom i despise, or the Royal Mail via special delivery. For some reason, ive now got an ebayer sending me an item via UPS from the UK which is fair enough I guess. Anyone got any idea how it works? As far as I can gather they deliver between 9am - 5pm... if my package arrives while im at school, what will happen to it is what im wondering? There is a Royal Mail postal depot down the town where all my RMSD and parcelforce parcels get diverted, do UPS follow suit or do they attempt to re-deliver or what? Really dont want my item to be pushed back again to Monday

Well there's a big battery in the box, so when there's a power cut...
Sorry. Umm I'm afraid I've never had a UPS delivery fail so I'm not sure, but I assume it is much the same as any other company, re-delivery is normal but depot collection is also possible. I cycle past the depot in Kentish town each day so I'm always dodging round their vans on the way home. ![]() They told me I was gullible ... and I believed them. |

Not sure never missed a UPS delivery, but they have very cool PDA/clipboard things, if that helps
![]() Probably redeliver the next day... when you're in school. Trying phoning them and asking them to delver after 4. You never know they might do it or just ski a day of school

AFAIK they just turn up ask you to sign a pda thing (which is horrible to sign as it ends up looking nothing like your signature) and they give you the parcel. I think you parcel is in safe hands but I prefer FedEx (not biased...honest).
