    How does UPS work?

Has anyone here ever had a delivery from UPS before?
I've always had deliveries either from Parcel Force whom i despise, or the Royal Mail via special delivery.
For some reason, ive now got an ebayer sending me an item via UPS from the UK which is fair enough I guess.
Anyone got any idea how it works?

As far as I can gather they deliver between 9am - 5pm... if my package arrives while im at school, what will happen to it is what im wondering?
There is a Royal Mail postal depot down the town where all my RMSD and parcelforce parcels get diverted, do UPS follow suit or do they attempt to re-deliver or what?
Really dont want my item to be pushed back again to Monday

Well there's a big battery in the box, so when there's a power cut...

Sorry. Umm I'm afraid I've never had a UPS delivery fail so I'm not sure, but I assume it is much the same as any other company, re-delivery is normal but depot collection is also possible. I cycle past the depot in Kentish town each day so I'm always dodging round their vans on the way home.

They told me I was gullible ... and I believed them.

One attempt at redelivery then depot pickup is usually the norm.

You can always call them up to reorder your item.

Not sure never missed a UPS delivery, but they have very cool PDA/clipboard things, if that helps

Probably redeliver the next day... when you're in school. Trying phoning them and asking them to delver after 4. You never know they might do it or just ski a day of school

UPS are excellent. Your parcel is in safe hands

Take a day off school and wait in for the package

AFAIK they just turn up ask you to sign a pda thing (which is horrible to sign as it ends up looking nothing like your signature) and they give you the parcel. I think you parcel is in safe hands but I prefer FedEx (not biased...honest).
