No need for an approved list, as long as you actually check over your post after you've submitted it you'll be able to see if the censor has changed anything, if it hasn't then you're OK. If it has, then just edit the word and remember not to use it in the future.

It isn't being anal, it's about presenting an environment that people enjoy spending time in. Does lack of swearing really affect your enjoyment that much? I have to say it improves my enjoyment.

Anyway, seeing as there are loads of other forums to go swear in, it should be easy to keep the better ones (Hexus ) swear free

Call me old fashioned but it's nice to have a forum where swearing is not the norm, if people can't express themselves with out swearing it shows a basic lack of understanding of the English language on their part.

Kasavien - I whole heartedly agree with you on that one.

shelly, I meant don't le the kids who swear on the forum, and don't tollerate the swearing full stop. This thread is there as a warning enough along with the TOC. Even though this thread has a serious tone "please stop swearing" people are still trying to test the limits on it.

If you see a word stared out, then you know the auto censor has done it for a reason, if you agree with it or not is not up for debate so anyone w h o s p e l l s it out or wh0 trys t0 ch4ng3 it so you can still see it is making a concious effort to break the rules. Therefore knows its wrong and is trying to break the terms and conditions - therefore - is in breach, so get out.

    I'm fed up of seeing

a.) txt speak thats impossible to read
b.) threads that have so m u c h d0dg1ng of the censor that its impossible to read.

I also suggest this thread is closed so that the message is clear - don't swear or your out. Rather than allow discussion such as "whats swearing" "can I do X" etc

    It is Inevitable.....

Everyone in this thread agrees that swearing should be cut down, I think you've mistaken some humour for a serious opinion.

At the end of the day - rudeness and swearing has NEVER been tolerated here. If you can't construct a post without swearing your head off or being rude, then your not welcome to be using HEXUS's bandwidth IMHO.
